The regression of my body to place unnoticed. The years passed by and I thought young at heart keeps one going. However, the USN Body & Lifestyle Challenge awoke my awareness. A rude awakening. I realized that my alcohol consumption was on a gradual and steady increase, furthermore I ate what I liked and not what liked me. I overnight adjusted my eating habits. I divided my nutrition consumption into six smaller meals per day. Cutting drastically on non essential fats and calorie intake. I commenced by planning my meals and consumed 2500 calories per day (divided into six meals).
I was previously working out very frantically and changed this to a steady 5 workout session per week. Me and my gym partner would phone one another everyday, Monday to Thursday and pin an exact starting time. We progressively increased the intensity of our workouts and within time moved onto super sets, reducing our rest periods without sacrificing the weights used. The fifth workout took place on Saturday mornings followed by a low calorie breakfast.
The most inspirational factor that assisted me through my 12 weeks was the USN advertisements of the USN Body & Lifestyle Challenge, showing photographs of the previous finalists and winner. This resulted in my body changing on a weekly basis which in turn inspired me even more.
I have already described to many friends and acquaintances who have remarked in amazement at my transformation that the Challenge has already made me a winner owing to me having not only transformed my body but have also transformed my demeanor to a happier and less aggressive person. Furthermore I have more energy at my work place and am better focused in absolutely everything. By the nature of my work, I travel to most the corners of the RSA and currently do and will continue to share the success I have attained with others.
